Production Winemaker

The Production Winemaker role is a key position within our company, responsible for directing and coordinating all cellar operations and wine making processes as well as production of our highest quality wines and concentrates.
Our ideal candidate possesses:
An Enology or Fermentation Science Degree.
Formulates monthly, weekly, and daily work schedules and work orders.
Oversees Barrel aging and fermentation, specifically assuming responsibility for aging, and the preparation of wines for bottling.
A strong understanding of technical and standard wine and juice analysis.
Blending decisions.
Supervises data entry personnel and seasonal winemaking employees.
Determines juice additions and treatments.
Work on ongoing development of winemaking procedures.
Experience in purchasing all winemaking supplies from various vendors.
Implement and maintain SOP's.
Good understanding of winemaking regulations and compliance.
Record keeping including experience with Microsoft Excel and word and winemaking databases.
Occasionally able to conduct tours and tastings.
